Since 1920 as an independent family business the Hans Adler OHG located in Bonndorf (Black Forest) produces Black Forest ham and sausage specialties. Since the 1950’s the name of a regional specialty was stamped, which is now known throughout the world: the Black Forest ham.

Adler family is well aware of its responsibility: As the owner of a medium sized company with a long tradition, their name stands for a brand whose reputation extends far beyond the borders of the region: the Black Forest ham. Since 1959, Black Forest ham is inseparably linked with Adler.

In 1920 Adler started with a small restaurant and a butchery, who took over the grandparents of the current owner. Already in 1955 Hans Adler began the delivery of "Black Forest smoked goods". In the 60s expanded and built up the departments: slaughterhouse, cutting, salting and smokehouse. 1964, Peter Adler joined the company - and its production and sales were the Black Forest smoked goods expanded substantially.

The Hans Adler OHG is directed by the owner-manager Peter Adler. In Achern, the subsidiary manufactory turnes with a keen sense the demands of the consumer part: the online-shop presents culinary delights from the region sent all over the world.

Today the Adler family employed at the headquarters in Bonndorf and in its subsidiaries in Achern about 270 employees. Adler is one of the most important employers in the region. Peter Adler puts special emphasis on training its own personnel, both in the commercial and the manual sector, because Adler stands for high competence through the whole process.

Schwarzwädler Schinken – the Original
The original from Adler. Smoked over Black Forest fires and spruces, matured through the fresh air of the Black Forest this world’s best-known smoked ham-specialty can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: as a sandwich filling or as a refinement of salads, meat and fish dishes.

This fine-spicy sausage snack is an excellent speciality for traveling and in between.

Schwarzwürstle – sausage speciality
For travel or a hearty snack with brown bread the sausage speciality “Schwarzwürstle” with its lightly smoked flavor has a tasty treat.
